Man Dies After Shooting Incident on Route 4; Multiple Injuries Reported

 

ASHDOD, October 15, 2024 — A man has died after sustaining critical injuries in a shooting attack that occurred on the Route 4 highway near the Yavne Interchange, north of Ashdod. Medical officials confirmed that the victim succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.

The shooting, which took place earlier today, also left four other individuals injured. One person sustained moderate injuries, while the remaining three suffered light injuries. Among those lightly injured was a doctor who stopped to assist the victims; he was subsequently struck by another vehicle.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, providing medical assistance to the injured before transporting them to nearby hospitals.

In the aftermath of the incident, local police have launched an investigation and are conducting a thorough search of the area to determine whether a second attacker may be involved.
